The Jonas Brothers are an American pop-rock band comprising of three brothers, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas. The group has won several awards throughout their career, including a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo Performance; the MTV Music Award for Best New Artist; and the American Music Award for Artist of the Year. The band has released five albums and sold over five million records worldwide.
Raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, the Jonas Brothers developed a passion for music at a young age. They formed the group in 2005 and began performing in their local area. They were later discovered by a talent scout from the Disney Channel, and the group started appearing on Disney Channel programs such as ‘Camp Rock’ and ‘Hannah Montana.’
After signing to Columbia Records, they released their debut album, ‘It’s About Time’ in 2006. Although the album didn’t gain much commercial success, the band continued touring and working on their music until the release of their second album, ‘Jonas Brothers’ in 2007. Their biggest hit was, ‘Burning Up!” which peaked at number five on the US Billboard Hot 100.
In 2013, two days before the start of their tour, the Jonas Brothers split for several reasons, mainly due to creative differences. They were losing popularity, and their music and shows were not selling. The band members went their separate ways and embarked on solo careers. Nick released four albums, Joe became a member of the group DNCE, and Kevin chose to spend quality time with his family.
The group reunited in 2019 and released the album ‘Happiness Begins.’ The Jonas Brothers currently have eight tour dates scheduled.
